it would scare me a little to think that somebody could break in and sit on
my toilet waiting for the Mrs to get home and unset the alarm. them jump
out
or whatever. im my opinion every entry point to the house should have at
least a reed switch to let us know if somebody's in the house. I have my
alarm set to flash the driveway lights if any of the alarm sensors have
been
set off, then the mrs can at least think twice before entering if she
wants.

regards.

Not in my house, to gain entry via the downstairs loo, they'd have to come
in through about 15ft of extractor fan venting.

I think I'd be calling Mulder and Scully :-).

But seriously, I know most downstairs loo's do have a window. The Hall's
going to have a PIR for the alarm system, why put one in the loo? How many
'normal' households put PIR's in bathrooms, loos, side porches and the
like?
