Yeah, I understand that. We currently have one building. Some people are
mo=
ving to a second building very near by. We thought about putting a
wireless=
access point in the first building and having people using it from the sec=
ond building, but the range and reliability made this cheap solution
unsuit=
able for this purpose.
We've now decided to get a wireless bridge between the two buildings. We
wi=
ll install a hub and some cat5 cabling in the new building , which will
all=
connect back to the bridge or whatever hardware it is connected to the ant=
enna. In the existing building, we will have the antenna and other
hardware=
installed to make this work. We are getting a local installation company i=
n to do this, for which they've quoted just over =A33K.
Seperately, we will try and use the Buffalo kit for other purposes inside
t=
he original building, as long as we can get something sorted out with the
s=
hielding in this particular laptop, or just get a new laptop for it.
Does that make sense ? :-)
Cheers
