I used x10 in the loo once when I was away and had a mate house sitting, it
was set to power up a 12v plug pack in the cupboard attached to a set of
car
air horns after 1 minute. (according to the guy its a pretty damm scary
thing to have happen to you)  the practical joke potential of home
automation is pretty much un-tapped.
