How much will Qubit Wireless WebTablets cost?
Answer
Final costs of Qubit WebTablets will be determined by distribution and
marketing partners who may offer them at reduced prices.
The following individual consumer WebTablet pricing was announced January
6,
2001 at the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas. Pricing is estimated
based on all component costs as of January 3, 2001. These prices are for
direct sale from our website in 2001 and are subject to change.
The complete package, $998. plus shipping and handling, includes:
1 Orbit Qubit Wireless WebTablet, color touch screen with stylus, Qubit
software and features
1 IR keyboard
1 25WH Li-ion main battery pack
1 AC wall charger
1 Recharging Cradle
1 Wireless access point

The Basic Package- $799. plus shipping and handling
Everything included above
EXCEPT the wireless access point.
The Basic option is in response to requests from those who intend to use
multi tablets per location and homeowners with wireless transmitters
already
in place.
Hardware and software technical specifications and features are in the
Brochures section of www.qubit.net/pressbox, in PDF format.
Long term ISP contracts with specified providers ARE NOT required. You may
choose from popular ISPs with one exception. AOL is not yet compatible.
Purchasers ordering 20-100 per order will be directed to specialist in bulk
pricing and shipping.
Corporations wishing to explore large or recurring quantities, or a
marketing partnership, please contact Qubit's Business Development
Department after January 11, 2001.
