This from the epod hacking forum this morning...

M.

"v2 is of the hack is done!

Well v2 was sent to Randy late Monday night. As to when its posted.. don't
bug him! The man is busy enough as it is :P
I’m sure he will get it up as soon as he can.
Anyhow v2 includes the following:
1- all core files are moved to the CF inside the epods (also refered to as
the Disk on chip, but it really is not the DOC)

2- after a hard reset all the new core files are copied automatically (less
than 2 meg copied to hog your ram) kudos to Smakz for working out the file
copy app.)

3- additional program data and applications stored on the internal CF

4- apps included (other than the standard windows ones) in the release and
shortcuts placed in start menu (Yes there are goodies inside)

5- If something fails or your battery dies, all you have to do is restart
your epod and merge.. that’s it no coping...
no pain... just fun... takes literally 2 min to restore from a hard reset!
Hopefully v3 will do the merge for you... Smakz??

So anyhow... don't bug Randy to post it yet, he will when he feels he’s
ready to send it to the public. I am the only one who has run this so far
so
as to buggs... there shouldn't be any but then again.... Also if you do
this
method and screw up, you better be ready to solder a lead to the DOC to
disable it (posted in another discussion) so you can recopy the original
files. But if you READ what needs to be done and follow directions you
won't
have any worries.
Also with any hack done v1, v2, whatever, it MUST be done on a virgin
system
(hard reset prior to hack) any other config can add problems with the
"upgrade". You can add your stuff back in when it's done.
I think v2 Kicks *ss and I hope you find it does too. I hear there are a
few
cool things coming out for the epods so I am as excited to you to see what
transpires....

Happy Hacking-
