I've just had a little play and worked it out. If you use the Application
install wizard it asks what the target device processor is. Sorry if I
caused anyones heart to stop... as always more haste less speed :-)

Found this below in the FAQ for Microsoft eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0

types:

MIPS
MIPS16
MIPSFP

eMbedded Visual Basic targets:

ARM720
SA1100
MIPS39xx
MIPS41xx
MIPS41xx 16-bit mode
SH3
x86 device emulation


Don't know which CPU it is.
