Sorry,
I thought you just wanted to connect the Gateway to a hub with your other
PCs.. didn't realize that you were going to use the modem too..

Yes, but it doesn't say that you can use the modem to access the Internet
AND the Ethernet interface to route to the local network. In order to
understand that you need to find out how the internal routing tables are
set
up, and I couldn't find that out.

I looked at the tech specs for it :
under Built in Modem/interface it lists:
Telephone Modem 56k V.90 RJ45
Ethernet Interface 10base-T RJ45
Wireless Interface IEEE 802.11b

I looked at them too, and it wasn't clear though whether the Ethernet port
was just for connection to a cable modem, or could be used for routing
between two LANs; wireless and fixed. There was no detailed manual
available
for download, only a quick start guide. It does look incredibly cheap
compared anything else that is out there, so I would be careful.

I've just looked at the tech specs for this and it says it does support
NAT

The only thing
I'm unsure about now is whether the fact that the AP performs NAT
address translation means I can or can't see the rest of my network?
