You should get yourself a copy of Download Accelerator. It should
(provided the site supports resume) give you at least 160kb/sec - There's
a 'free' version that limits (iirc) you to a maximum of 7 connections to
each site so theoretically you could get 60*7 kb/sec - obviously only if
your connection can go that fast :-)
We have a cable modem connection at the office to suppliment our existing
connection - our max bandwidth on that is 2 meg. It's used for getting SPs
and updates etc from Microsofts website (and others) and can be quite
frighteningly fast sometimes... I did a test with our cable connection and
our 'other connection' both with DLA and the cable one came out better.
The only problem it suffers from is reliability.

Why would I use a modem when I've got ADSL? I'm going to download 600Mb
later tonight. The host is fast so I'll get 59-60Kb/sec :) Not bad for
?40/mo!
