When MS published Windows 2000 RC2 on their website, it took 7 working days
using my dial-up connection from work (using Download Manager so I could
pause it when I went home and restart the next morning). When I'd finally
downloaded it, I went back to the site to get the CD key. However, by this
time, they'd posted RC3 and the CD key didn't work with the RC2 I'd just
downloaded! I didn't bother downloading RC3!
Thankfully, I now have ADSL at home but still have dial-up at work. So, now
that it doesn't cost me any extra, I do all my downloading at home :-)
