To answer my own question :)
the e-pods (which has a backlight, but is pretty weak due to apparent power
management concerns).

Someone asked if the display was backlit, I can't find mention of
backlighting on any of the websites.
Ruari, do you know if the display of the Epod has a backlight you can
switch
on and off?
