I think it is one of those personal choice things, I want a small unit that
I can carry with me when I am not in a room with a PC.
I would also like a system with a big screen for the living room, basically
a non-mobile solution which a web pad is for all intents ;) ( I don't know
maybe you will bring your web pad to the kitchen/bedroom/loo ;)
As large TFT screens are so expensive, I am working on using a second hand
laptop and dismantling it to get a system with a standalone TFT screen
cabled) and using an RF mouse and Keyboard. So the only items you would see
are the screen, mouse and keyboard and maybe a set of speakers. The rest of
the unit and cabling would be behind a sofa or similar. Again, its a long
finger plan :)
Just had a look at the webpad site, and it is a mighty fine solution to my
non-mobile problem, I think I will scrap my plans to dismantle a laptop to
do the job and start saving for a Webpad :) Thanks for the info!
