All fair enough points Mark  However, I know from emails I get that not
everyone likes the amount of messages the Egroup produces.  Even the daily
digest can be arduous to wade through.

Personally I love the Egroup, but there are some out there that prefer the
newsgroup solution.  Hopefully a newsgroup wouldn't have a large
detrimental
effect on this list whilst bringing some new people to us after they
discover the subject there.
