We've had a couple of BP6s in the past but had to return one due to the
regular crashing. The remaining one (also Celeron 533s) was fine at first
and then the random crashes occurred. We were at the point of returning it
when we spoke to the ABIT UK technical support. We were informed that a
batch of BP6s had a wrong component installed as part of the power
regulation circuit. The component, a capacitor, was quite easy to
identified as it was the only short one along a line of tall caps on one
side of the PCB. Rather than send the motherboard back for repair, we made
the correction ourselves and the BP6 has been working perfectly ever
since. I suspect the one that we have returned was also suffering from the
same fault.
