Can anyone give me any pointerswith regard to converting a live stream
into a bmp/jpeg - I'm assuming I need to use cDIBsection(s) but a quick
example would help out a lot... what I'm aiming to achieve is generating a
jpeg with the same name (ie overwriting) to give the effect of a streaming
feed.. I've got the HTML/JScript sorted out that will reliably reload an
image (without refreshing the whole page - just the image). Once the
'video' feed is working ok I can then add the code to switch between
cameras from a page..

alternatively could someone point me in the direction of a capture app
that will allow me to 'tell' it things like the text to overlay etc from
another app. eg much like with ASP and Homeseer where you can do things
like (this isn't the precice code!)

Set hs createobjec.....

Devcount = HS.DEVICECOUNT

for t=0 to DevCount
CurDev = HS.GETDEVICE(Dev)
CurDev.SetdeviceString = "Blah"
next

set hs = nothing

-------

What I'd like to do with the video app is similar but use something like
SetOverlayText  (BackColour, ForeColour,Font,Text, Alignment)

This would at least allow me to change the text when I switched cameras
when using something like ASELs rs232 controlled video switcher...

A.
