Re: Basic stuff... my brain aint working



Go for having it sorted properly it sounds like you could have a can of
worms. I remember some years back looking at a customers kitchen where one
of the sockets had stopped working, found three twin sockets spurred off
the
ring main with two core bell wire, plugged into these were the kettle,
toaster etc, it was the cable that got toasted. Perhaps if they stopped
selling electrical components at DIY shops and only through outlets where
good advice was available some of these problems would not occur. Not
knocking DIY its just that bad advise or a little knowledge can be very
dangerous. Some sound basic principles would be a good idea for a FAQ.
