Hehe...bulk order! I think I could have done better...he agreed too quickly ;-)

I shorted two pins on a transistor together...don't know if this is the 'correct' way to do it...but it's been working for a week and I have 3 spares anyway. If you want to try it I'll take a photo of the reverse of the PCB and post a link here

Hey! I got some of the ross wireless speakers of this guy when i went to bowlers on saturday :-)
Ended up getting 4 pairs for £65 of him...The only problems I've had with them are: my mobile phone causes havoc with them & they have a transmitter that goes into standby after a couple of minutes of inactivity...this means homeseer says a couple of words before the transmitter powers on....I was able to cure that by disabling the bit of circuit that controls the auto-standby.

Small world ;-)

Interesting. Can you provide a few more details on that (model numbers, where you got them, frequency range etc)? I'm thinking about setting up some sort of (limited - a few rooms) voice control/announcement system via Homeseer and getting as much of it as possible wireless would really be a timesaver.

Thanks,

Oliver.

I use RF wireless speakers at ?20 a pair, and one in each room, as I don't
require stereo I set them to mono. no good if they HAVE to be ceiling
mounted though.

Anyone got any tips on how to set up a cheap whole house audio solution? I
basically want to to have a stereo in the bedroom linked to ceiling mouted
speakers in each room. Is it as simple as connecting a bit of speaker cable
from the back of the stereo to each of the ceiling mounted speakers? How can
I independently switch off each speaker?

The cheaper the better BTW.
