I just added some ceiling speakers in the upstairs bathroom - I used some
car speakers from Halfords - Kenwood, for £30, which is quite a bit cheaper
than the "proper" ceiling speakers you get from ***lins's et al..

These weren't the cheapest on sale in Halfords, that honour went to both a
cheaper Kenwood pair, and a Pioneer pair, both at £20, but neither of these
were true "two-way" speakers, just "dual cone"

I haven't sprayed the grille's white to match the ceiling, as I asked SWMBO
if she was bothered about the colour, and she wasn't. (now there's a
first!)
But I think that they would take a spray coat very well - I chose ones with
particularly fine mesh grille's.

As for wiring, I just used cheap speaker cable from Homebase, (£14.49 for
100m) - mere 13 strand stuff, (this >is< only a bathroom for Pete's
sake),
and ran it through the loft down into the master bedroom, and onto the
"Speaker B" terminals on the Amp in there. I'm going to set up an
IR
Repeater as well and use one of my (many) old universal learning remotes

Sound? obviously not audiophile, but more than adequate for singing in the
shower! (and a lot better than the portable fish-shaped radio that was in
there before!)
