With all this talk of 24/7 I thought I might check my phone bill and see
what I have spent on internet connections from home , the last phone bill
was over £100 on calls to freenetname ! so I will switch.

My question is:-

I know some of the list members are running webservers for home automation
from home.
which redirection service is best ?
I connect via a router with ip filtering, am I going to leave my systems
open to attack, and if so what do I need to provide protection?
presumably I need some software to cause kick my router to a predetermined
schedule so that I know when it will be on line ?
what web server should I use (I have W2k Professional, W98SE2 & could
use
W2K server) ?

John
