You don't need to open up the port if you are using an email client to collect your mail. Simply give the program permission to access the Internet in ZA Pro, and it will allow it to connect. Unless you are running an SMTP server - in which case give the mail server "server" permission in ZA Pro.

I've just purchased and installed Zone Alarm Pro on my ICS PC. My Internet provider is Demon. I've opened up port 25 for SMTP (so I can get my mail) but when I run a "Probe my ports!" (ooeerr missus) from http://www.grc.com it says that SMTP is in stealth mode.... Has anyone got any idea as to what is going on. Is Zone Alarm detecting an attack from and ignoring grc.com? Or have I bu*$ered it all up?

A.
