You're forgetting though that this will include (I presume) the hub/switching unit as well as the TX and RX.
 
Expensive, yes. 
 
But like I said to Keith there will be those that just want to buy a box and get it fitted while others will want to go the DIY route with Keiths stuff.
 
Room for both.

At ~1,000+ for 3 rooms, Keith's solution is going to seem a comparative bargain, unless Keith's prices have suddenly quadrupled on reading the page (!)....  Perhaps those housings had better be gold-plated for better EMI immunity after all :)
