A line doubler won't make up for an inherently low resolution 4:3 panel
though...

....The VW10/11 has a 16:9 panel and therefore uses the maximum number of
pixels possible for showing a movie. Displaying a 16:9 image on an
800x600 (or 1024x768) panel means only about 2/3rds of the active
display resolution is used.

I use a CRT projector with a 16:9 aspect ratio but with a true
resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 within that ... The results are quite
cinematic!
