I cant say it was that noticable - we demo'd one next to a VW10 Sony unit
(£5k) -  yes there was more line structure visible, but not that much,
Certainly not 3 grands worth ! Might be better spending the extra on a line
doubler.

wide-screen. I
noticed the new Sony vpl-hs1 cineza LCD projector at about the same price.
Anyone have any experience of this model ? I know it's at the bottom end of
the projector market as such, but seems to be getting favorable reviews.

Yeah, I've used a couple.  They have gaps between the pixels.  If you walk
up to the screen you'll see a matrix of unlit areas.  It's OK from 8-10
feet
away though.
