Huh?

Sorry Tim ... I think you have picked up on a different point to the one
I was asking about. I have had LVD / Ultra160 SCSI drives before in my
machines and have turfed them out in favour of the much cheaper-per-gig
IDE's.

What I'm trying to find out is whether anyone has ordered and received
one of the 160Gb ATA133 Maxtor IDE drives ... As I said, a friend has
had one on order for over a month now and he is still waiting for one
and I'm trying to find out whether the reseller (eBuyer) is just being
crap or whether these drives are simply not available.

The only reason for moving to ATA133 with these drives is so that the
full 160Gb can be addressed rather than the first 137Gb only.

Again appologies if I was misleading with my original mail mate but I
didn't mention data bandwidth or anything ... I just wanted to know if
the supplier was being crap or whether the items were really that
scarce.

Phil
