Re: Looking for Video Camera

Looks like a very good spec - is there any chance of posting (or emailing me) a few screen captures at varying light levels so I can see what sort of quality comes out?  (Don't worry if you can't).

How do you have your camera set up - where and how does it connect to your other kit?

Thanks,
-Dan

Dan,

If you're looking for a _decent_ camera, I can recommend the one I bought from Henry's CCTV (http://www.henrys.demon.co.uk).

The one I have in the nursery is the 567 Colour camera with intelligent IR lens. I posted about this when I ordered it and haven't really followed up. With this combination, the image is in colour when there's enough light and b/w when the light level drops and the IR emitters on the lens kick in. It's quite a unique setup because, depending on the scene, you can get a part colour/ part monochrome image. At night, if I'm watching on the TV downstairs, by bringing up the light level remotely (X-10 lighting), it's like turning up the colour control. A very good quality camera.

All the cameras I've bought from Henry's in the past have been very good quality. Certainly far superior to the usual DIY-store tat.

I'm looking for an indoor video camera suitable for monitoring in a kiddie's room with low light levels.

Ideally it would send video and audio back to a TV/PC either wireless or hardwired.  X10 addressable would also be nice, but not essential.

Anyone know what I need?

Cheers,
-Dan
