Re: Homevision control of Central Heating

Title: Message
Yep they do, most have a switched 240v output ready to connect straight to the pump.
As James says some have a motor and spring return the other way is with a rotating shaft with a hole in it, this is turned through 90 deg to open or close. To achieve this two switch wires are used one to open the other to close, this is one reason why programmers and room stats have change over contacts, to closed the valve when the heating turns off.

Most motorised valves have an inbuilt switch which is used to control the pump, if these are connected together then the pump will only run when a valve is open.
