The man from DHL knocked on my door about 4pm yesterday, and handed me a
box
with a Slim MP3 in it.

First impressions - nice piece of kit, though I wouldn't want to let kids
near it (electronics exposed at back).   Server software works (once you
get
the latest version of Perl loaded), but the web interface is a bit clunky.
Readability is a vast improvement on the DDAR, though still not as readable
as my Meridian stuff at the same distance - a bit of squinting required at
about 8 ft.

I guess that'll make up for the CPU on my NT server blowing up on Xmas eve,
closely followed my Mum (with the assistance of a small feline) knocking
blackcurrant squash over a mini timer:-)
