Hi

I beleive that I2C is similar, in which case there are loads of
example code bits on the net, just use google with 16c84 I2C and you
should find it.

If not it's fairly easy to code detect the clock, wait 1/2 clock
pulse width and read the data as either high or low and build up the
bytes. You can make it more complex if you want but only required
really if you expect noisy signals.

Thinking whilst typing I beleive the PC keyboard is the same format
and again there is code on the net for that to.
