Get a nail the same size as the ones in the boards, cut off the point and
use it as a punch to drive the nails through before lifting the board,
don't
knock them right through or you will not have a head to pull them out with
once the board is up.
If the boards are tongue and grooved use a bolster to split the tongue
first.
