Aren't the channel spacings for US and UK tuners different?

I know that when I was looking to move out there a few years ago that
was one problem I was going to have with carting kit out there ... 220v
isn't a problem as all houses out there have 220v ... They just use one
leg of the supply for most domestic appliances giving 110v but for the
"big" stuff use both legs.
