Yup, I have NTL phone and a well bought Meteor that works very well.

An all round good buy.

Unfortunately when dealing with NTL you will mostly get duff gen, yes I
have
had enough of their lies, yes that is LIES.

I subscribed to NTL for about 6 months before I bought the meteor and when
I
connected it up it did not work!! turned out although I was paying for CID
NTL had not activated it!!!

They also moved my high speed cable modem to the slower variety whilst
telling me numerous times that they had not!!!!

As for asking them how I can got hold of a fixed IP for SMTP mail....forget
it...

Is there ANYONE at all on this list that gets their telephone service from
NTL and have functioning caller-ID?

I KNOW that someone replied to me about a fortnight ago to say that their
meteor worked OK on a NTL line, but NTL customer services have just told me
that they categorically do not, and never have had caller ID on any of
their
telephone services!!!

Quite obviously, someone is giving me duff info, and my money is on it
being
NTL!!

If anyone here has their telephone service provided by NTL and has
caller-ID
(or ever have had), please can you let me know asap!

TIA

Paul G.
