Whoo hoo! Someone else who's a miserable git just like me!

Actually ... It's not Christmas that I hate but what it has become, a
huge excuse for companies to get kids to ask for the latest toy which
changes day on day. Anyone who celebrates Christmas as a religious event
then I have no wish to p*ss on their fire but this year the usual
commercialism has been compounded by unemployment (my best man and his
partner have both found that they've been made redundant from NTL this
morning too) and so I just wish we could skip the whole thing.

I have no religious leanings which is one reason why I consider
Christmas to be a bit of a waste of time. This was much to the distress
of the vicar who married me and Jo last month as after the service I
went to thank her for it all and said "...if I was in any way
religious
then you're just the kind of vicar I'd like."

Thankfully she already knew all this, gave me a hug and said "From you
I'll take that as a compliment Phil." *grin* I like my local vicar ...
She's cool!
