Be aware that cable testers are *SHITE*!

I have a cable at home that tests perfectly and yet will not work on one
of my PCs (but will work with several other machines). I had the same
problem over at Li's (of laser.com) where he made up a network cable
which tested out fine but wouldn't work on one of his PCs. I have had
exactly the same problem yesterday over here at Graham Howe's where one
of his network cables will not work onto my laptop whereas it works fine
on one of his laptops.

*ALL* these cables test out fine on a cable tester yet display problems
in use.
