[ukha_d] [OT] Getting started with W2K server - Help!

Category:

I have been thinking of having a play with W2K server (for home), in
particular terminal services and exchange*. Thing is there seems to be so
many flavours. Where do I start (cheaply!)?

I have found on www.action.com Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 5 Client
Version Upgrade for Win 9.x/2K/NT for £99! It is on 3.5" disks(?). Would
that do?
How can that be £99 when Microsoft Small Business Server 2000
Academic/Educational 5 CLT for Win 9.x/2K/NT is nearly £500!

They also do Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server for Win 98/2K/Me/NT4 for £30.
Would I need that to?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just don't get it <:-I

Justin.

*Am I correct in thinking that running an exchange server means email is
kept on the server and is just accessed by client PC's using Outlook or
other mail client?
