Nah, we're talking about SIX power amps. Turn the volume up on the
pre-amp and because they're class B amps they'll get warmer. Now if they
were all Class A then I would be living in a Sauna!
With class A amps the transistors are permanently switched on to full
power, and any unused "power" is disappated as heat. That's the
simple
explanation, I'm sure Keith will chime in with the correct one ;-)
