I thought a "gang" was a 'socket'.  So a single gang power point has a single plug socket, whereas a dual gang cat5 point would have 2 ports but obviously fitting within a standard UK sized single socket...
 
Have I made this up??
 
But you get 1G, 2G and 3G light switches, in 1 and 2 ways - all in a single size box.....  then you get 3G sockets in a triple width.... weird - go figure!!!
 
I can confirm that the Screwfix ones are single back box width (like a light switch) and can take 2 RJ45 modules.
