Re: Re: Bush Internet boxes...

Nope. All the items I altered were as described here:
http://www.kentwebnet.com/bush/config.htm
.

The settings I used (for Free24-7.net, but this is all based upon V21's
service, even uses the same dialup number) are these:

ISP name: Free24-7.net (but this is free form, so you could make it V21)
ISP telephone number: 08089933025
User name: <my user name>
Password: <my password>
Home URL: http://www.notacon.com
(can't hurt to self-promote a bit ;-) )

ISP domain name: notacon.com (now at first I didn't know what they meant
with this, but it is actually the part that comes after the @ sign in your
ISP's email account (if you use that), so in your case 'v21.co.uk')
Primary DNS: 213.120.228.99
Secondary DNS: 217.158.66.11
Dial Script: Left this exactly what it was (so if you changed it, it is
probably a good idea to bring the box back into it's factory default state)
as it drives the modem, not the connection to the ISP.

E-mail URL: Can be anything you like.
Search URL: Can be anything you like.
Time server: left blank (as default)
HTTP proxy: left blank (unless you are using one with V21, but I suggest to
use it first without one)
FTP proxy: left blank (don't even have a clue what this possibly can be)

And that's it.

It must be said that I do have sometimes problems getting first time
connections (but that is for both PC and Bush Box) and is due to the crappy
DNS servers that V21/Free24-7.net uses/has.

Hope this helps...
