for the pointers anyway. I just thought now with all of the ACPI
specs and
OnNow technology, surely, you must be able to put a PC in standby, then
wake it
up when it's resources are needed remotely - bugger. Next software
project
then...(for someone else ;)

Oh well, ignore my email...
another
way is to install a remote monitoring card in the machine (though this
may not be possible with its small form factor) which will give you access
to
the machine (usually via www) even when its powered off.
