I use a "normal" inserter tool

"BT Inserter Wire 2A" made by Krone and have never found a patch
panel or
socket it didnt work on. These are about 15-20 quid but well worth it.
Cheaper tools dont work as well and you definately need a tool that cuts
the
wire off when it inserts. The cutter is normally the first part to wear
out.
They also have a hook to remove wires which is essential on a densly
populated wiring field. When I was using a BT one in my day to day work
they
would last about 4-5 years (dont ask how many connections that is) so it
would last you for life.

The secret of reliable wiring is top quality termination. Dont be tempted
by
cheap inserters, bad terminations sometimes dont show up for months or
years.
