Go look at shallow mount (i.e. door) speakers for in-car use ... as for
quality - well, they'll be what I would consider suitable for HA
anouncements and non-critical background music but I don't think you'll get
anything in the way of a sub-£100 ceiling speaker pair that sound anything
decent - any speaker without an enclosure (called free-air) is going to
suffer from a lack of bottom end control and extension plus is going to run
out of steam at higher levels as the back of the driver isn't loaded by a
cabinet/enclosure.
