Certainly on the plasma there is a serial port than can be used to control it. If my scanner was working, I'd offer to scan the page that tells you how to use it, but it isn't ;-(
 
There's also a second 25 way (I think) port for connecting an external tuner box.

On the back on my panny TV there are 2 serial ports.
One is for the modem (PPV etc)
The other is simply listed as 'serial port for future expansion'
Does anyone know if this can be used to control the TV in the same way as the DSPA1/TAG AV32R etc?
