Not sure on number 2, but you could use an auapac to control number
1, www.aquapac.net - If you would like one and cannot source it let
me know. (my sailing club has an account with them)
I use these to protect kit while sailing, and we should be able to
find one remote control sized.
(the are waterproof to 10 meters so will be fine in most domestic
baths :-)
