Hi All

I'm off to the US on Sunday for 3 days, and was really hoping to take
advantage
of the trip to order some X10 stuff from smarthome.com or x10.com... can
anyone
give me some advice on what its ok to buy that will work over here??

I liked the look of the 15Amp Appliance module on cx10.com (
http://www.x10.com/products/x10_hd245.htm
), but then read on smarthome.com :

"When you see 220 volt devices on most of our web site, these units
are for
two-phases of 120 volts. In North America, most homes get two lines of
120 volts and some devices in the home will use both lines to operate the
device
(pumps, hot tubs, water heaters, and others.) These devices will
not work in countries with a single line of 220 volts coming into a home or
building."

Also, it seems I can't buy their standard x10 stuff and use a voltage
converter
as they say x10 won't work through a voltage converter...

So now I don't know what I can get away with!!! Ideally I would really like
some
applicance/light modules...but any kind of x10 kit would be great!! Any
advice
please????

Cheers
James
