Re: Update: A10 Modules

I've been looking at the ACT web site and as Stuart said there are no
receiver modules with a dim function.

However the TB224 sounds ideal useful for people with the LD11
modules, who currently have momentary local wall switches AND a
controller (Homevision etc) as it is an X10 transmitter that can also
send dim commands.

Because the LD11 is not 2 way, the local changes are unknown to the
controller.
So possible easy upgrade would be to take the momentary cables off
the LD11 and put them on the TB224.
One TB224 handles 4 switches momentary inputs and can easily be
mounted in node 0 along with the DIN modules.

Advantages
The controller knows what each lights is doing.
But the big thing is the clipsal momentary switches are no longer
hard-wired to the din module and can now be re-programmed, so one
switch can now set a scene for example.

Disadvantages
The lights will now respond slower than before. (Any comments from
people who have LD11 with both local and computer control??)
Failsafe local control lost. However Keith's relay idea would be good here.
You could route the momentary switches to either the TB224 or the DIN
module via a relay changeover.

I need to get a TB224 to have a play around...
