Is your 543 near the TV??

I had similar problem a couple of weeks back, turned out my 7243AH did not like to be located near the TV (even with the TV disconnected from mains and ariel disconnected!!). I moved it 0.5m away from TV and it works fine now with 0.1s delay. I seem to recall this fixed another members IR-X10 problems. Could try going to 0.2s delay.

I've had my 543AH IR thingy for a few weeks now I have to say on the whole
it seems to work quite well. Most of the time.

I suspect  this has been touched on before but....

I have fairly regular failures with x10 macros on the pronto. After spending
some time pressing buttons and staring at the AH box, a failure appears to
coincide with three flashes of the led, success with 5. Pressing a different
button on the same house code after a failure usually results in 5 flashes,
and my Homeseer log records something like housecode, unit code, unit code,
command.

I interpret this as the AH missing the command code at the end of the first
transmission, then after getting the second transmission from the pronto,
sending out house code, first transmission unit code, second transmission
unit code, second transmission command code.

Cutting to the chase, I have 0.1 s second delays between house, unit and
command transmissions, is this enough?, Is it too much? Do people have
different delays between house and unit and unit and command? What delays
are you people using? I'm going to some experimenting but I'm lacking serial
ports at the mo (thanks for that topic by the way) and attaching the pronto
to twiddle about is a pain in the butt.

Or have I missed the boat entirely? These toys are a bit tweaky aren't they.
Maybe I should be hiding the receiver in a dark corner, switching off the
bathroom fan and putting a bucket on my head.....................
