The other alternative of course is to mount the transformers in the loft
and
just run the 24v feeds down inside the wall space but I thought that mains
supplied to that point would be more flexible...

...would mean that any future buyers could maybe run tacky flashing
Christmas decorations in the windows without having to trail extension
leads! *grin*
