I want to add a control feed to my Axis webcam to turn off image gathering
when it gets dark.
I've bought some X10 controlled relays to do this (and also turn curtain
motors on/off).
However, the AXIS manual suggests I diodes for protection, and I've no idea
what to use.
On 2nd reading it looks like h=just the output should be protected - if
someone can confirm this I'd be gratful, as I don't want to trash ?300 of
camera!

The connections are described on page 49 of
http://www.axis.com/documentation/userguide/2100/latest/2100ug.pdf
but I can't cut and paste from it!

An RS Part no. would be ideal, because there's a trade counter down the
road
from me!

P.S.

See http://www.pwootton.com:83
for one of the cameras. Try not to overload
the ADSL line!
