Very strange. What happens if you try to connect to the IP of your machine?
or 127.0.0.1?

Do you have log_file set in your mh.private.ini file? Sounds like it's
trying
to redirect output to a window but cant?

How do you launch it under windows? Does it have it's own DOS box?
