Aluminium reflects all light and heat towards where the lamp is pointed
(advantage: can be put in unventilated space. Disadvantage: Whereever the
light is pointed will be heated)

Dichroic reflects the light but not the heat.
(advantage: things in front of the light will be much less
heated.  Disadvantage: needs cooling on the lamp end, failing that,
FIREHAZARD!)
