Thanks James, of course I forgot to mention that following the fitting of
my
first ever DIN module at the weekend, SWMBO promptly decided that she
doesn't like the soft-start feature! - she wants a light to behave like a
light, and "just come on" when she presses the switch... I tried
to explain
to her that it will extend the bulb life, but I don't think she was
impressed... She's also decided that she definately doesn't like the memory
dim feature (i.e. all the nice stuff I paid extra for!) - she wants her
lights to come on at full brightness every time she turns one on, unless
told otherwise.. She'll not be happy in the following scenario:

I'm watching TV in the living room till the wee hours, and I've got the
LD11
dimmed to about 30%...

I go to bed, and just send an "OFF" command as part of my going
to bed
macro...

The following day, she comes in to the living room, and presses the light
switch....

The light comes on at 30% only (because that's where I left it)...

ZERO WAF!! (Honestly, women!) err.. Sorry Jenni... - not *you* of course!

I've had to promise, that I will "fix it" so that whenever she
presses the
light switch, it will behave like a "normal" light switch, - I.E.
come on at
100% brightness, and preferably just come on without soft-starting...
(Don't
know why I don't just put the LW12 back on... oh yes, I remember, because
it's **CK UGLY!)

Q: - using the preset dim feature, can I make it behave how she wants? - I
was thinking I could send a 100% pre-set dim level in my daily reset event
which runs at 05:30 every morning, (but not turn the light on) - is this
possible? - so that the next time the light is switched on, the 100% dim
level would be in effect, rather than whatever dim level it may have been
left at previously?

I know this is defeating the object of the thing, but I've bought it now,
and I sweated blood to install the **cker, so I'm jolly well going to use
it! (but I still have to obey SWMBO!)

Cheers.

Paul G.
