I will look into the door solenoid seems to
be
the way to go.
We normally get the cheapest with no
insurance
& bin at the first breakdown, which is usually several years.
This time we opted for the merc (couldnt
afford
the rolls) to see if they were any better made as i recall it was a tad
under
600.

Nice idea - but
a
word of caution - it won't work with all machines.
My exceptionally
irritating machine doesn't unlock the door until you
turn the machine
off
and rotate the programme knob to a neutral
position and then wait 60s...
by
which time I'm ready to take a
hammer to the bloody
thing.
